Our mission is to make sure the future is good.
Human beings have always shaped the future through the visions they choose to pursue. beacn is where people post their visions of positive futures and vote on the ones that resonate most — building a collective picture of the tomorrow we want to create.
The result is a living signal — a “goodness direction” — that teaches AI what humanity actually wants tomorrow to look like. It is about giving AI the clearest possible picture of the future we want to build, straight from the people who will live in it.
The goodness direction
At the heart of beacn is what we call the “goodness direction” — a collective compass built from every vote you cast. It is how we teach AI what a good future looks like.
Here is how it works: every post is converted into a mathematical representation — a point in a high-dimensional space where similar ideas sit close together. When you upvote a post about renewable energy or a vision of thriving communities, you are telling AI “more of this.” Multiply that by thousands of people and millions of votes, and a clear direction emerges — a vector that points toward the futures we want most.
That direction is the goodness direction. It is not a list of rules or a manifesto. It is a living, evolving signal that AI can learn from — one that nobody designed alone but that everyone helped shape. How to contribute
